nate + katie

Nate and Katie got married. I have proof....

We really enjoyed shooting Nate and Katie's wedding in Seattle. The ceremony was at Bethany Community Church (which just so happens to be the church I go to) and the ceremony was at the Century Ballroom in Capitol Hill. This was my first wedding with my new second shooter/assistant/lover Emily. Nate and Katie are all around great people and a lot of fun too. Nate and I used to work together and I was friends with Katie in college so it was fun to be with old friends. It was one of my more challenging shoots I'll admit. The time constraints of a friday afternoon wedding don't leave much wiggle room. Also it was one of the hottest days of the summer and I tend to work up a good amount of heat running around shooting. So I was sweating buckets. We were doing most of the shooting at the worst possible time of the day with direct overhead sun in a cloudless sky. It was crazy bright out too, the kind of bright that burns your eyes if you don't have sunglasses on. Feel bad for me yet? Did I mention it was hot? :) Anyhew, I think we were able to get some good ones.
